Groupsync

Terms of Service

Last updated September 25, 2026

1. What Groupsync is

Groupsync is a project coordination tool built for student group work, shared task boards, workspaces, and comments. It's a school project (IPT2 System Proposal), not a commercial product, and it's provided as-is while it's being built.

2. Your account

You need a valid email address to sign up, and we verify it with a one-time code before your account is active. You're responsible for keeping your password private and for anything done from your account, including resetting it through the "Forgot password?" flow, which also confirms your identity with a one-time code sent to your email. Use a real name so your group can recognize you on shared tasks.

3. Acceptable use

Use Groupsync for what it's for: coordinating real group work. Don't use it to harass anyone, post content unrelated to your workspace, try to access another group's workspace without an invite, or attempt to disrupt the service.

4. Your content

Tasks, comments, and workspace data you create are yours. We store them so the app works, see the Privacy Policy for what that means in practice. You can ask to have your account and its data removed at any time.

5. No guarantees

This is a student-built system without a support team behind it around the clock. We'll try to keep it running and your data intact, but we can't promise uptime or guarantee against data loss, don't rely on Groupsync as your only copy of anything critical.

6. Changes

These terms may change as the project develops. Meaningful changes will update the date at the top of this page.
